Please read the clothing suggestions below!
Clothing Suggestions:
Try to stick to just a few colors so you look like a group. 2-4 colors work best.
Solids and small patterns work best. Keep away from wording, large stripes or logos.
Dress head to toe, socks should match pants.
Powder:Men and women, please use powder to soften facial shine. Digital photography picks up facial shine more than film. We have powder in the dressing rooms, but if you are on location please plan on bringing your own. Baby powder works as well as face powder. Receding hairlines will look much better with a light dusting.

Hair spray: please use hair spray to control flyaway hairs and keep your hair in place in the wind.
Eye Glasses:
Eye glass lenses can cause distortion and glare.
We suggest you leave them off for the picture if you don't normally wear them every day.

Our photographers are all trained to remove lenses to give you a more natural look.
Wire rims can be removed on location.
Plastic rims must be removed at the studio because heat is required, stop by before your sitting.
We have some empty frames that you may wear for your shoot. The styles are limited.
If we are photographing you on location, please let us know you need lenses removed, so we can schedule the extra time required.

If we cannot remove your lenses, we charge $5 per pair per pose to remove the glare.
We cannot always get the eyes to look exactly correct.
We do not fix distortion.
Personal Cameras: When someone else is taking a picture behind the photographer, they are a distraction to the people posing, which can lead to head swaps at $25 each. Please be considerate of your family and wait until the photographer is gone to bring out your camera, when you can get some great candid shots! If anyone shoots at the same time as the photographer, the family will be charged a $100 posing fee.
Weather:
When the weather is not looking good, we are usually willing to wait up to 20 minutes
before your appointment
to make a final decision on shooting another day or to go inside the studio, if you are in the Salt Lake Valley.
If it is actually raining or snowing, we cannot shoot outside.
Overcast weather creates very soft, flattering lighting, which works wonderfully for pictures.
